Sound familiar?

Most homes have at least one window nobody wants to look at

A blind that will not sit level, a slat that snapped years ago, or a room that gets so bright in the afternoon that nobody uses it.

Blinds are the most direct fix for that, as long as the slat material suits the room and the mount suits the window. Getting those two decisions right is most of the job.

That is exactly why Brentwood Blind Company does it differently.

Common questions

Which blinds suit a bathroom or kitchen?

Damp and steamy rooms generally rule out real wood, which can warp over time. Faux wood and aluminium hold their shape in humidity, which is why they are the usual choice for bathrooms, kitchens and laundries.

Should blinds be mounted inside or outside the window frame?

Both work. An inside mount sits within the recess for a cleaner line and leaves the frame visible. An outside mount covers the frame and blocks more of the light that leaks around the edges.

What is the difference between blinds and shutters?

Blinds are slats or fabric on a cord or wand that raise and stack at the top of the window. Shutters are rigid panels fixed into the frame with louvers that tilt. Blinds pull out of the way, shutters stay in place and frame the window.

How are blinds measured?

Blinds are measured to the opening, and the measurements differ depending on whether the blind will sit inside the recess or over the frame. That decision is made per window before anything is ordered.
